We are looking for a creative and highly organised individual to fill the role of either Junior Publicist (with at least three years’ experience within Arts, Entertainment, or Fashion PR) or Publicist (with at least five years’ experience within Arts, Entertainment, or Fashion PR) who has established firm media and industry contacts and has a great knowledge and passion for the arts.
The Junior Publicist or Publicist will join our small, highly successful team of personal publicists, working across multiple clients at different stages of global press campaigns. The role/s requires an active engagement and understanding of global media, current trends, and the ever-changing media landscape, as they will be responsible for generating press opportunities, building campaigns, organising interviews and photo-shoots whist building their own industry and media contacts.
The successful applicant will be a fast learner with a strong ability to meet deadlines with a sense of urgency. They will be required to work across different clients and projects simultaneously, multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced role, extracting important details from correspondence and communication and responding to emails in a professional manner. As such, a high level of organisation and attention to detail is essential.
We’re looking for a highly proficient writer, a diplomat by nature, a clear communicator and someone who is comfortable shifting priorities and meeting tight deadlines. We specifically desire individuals who are strong team players and collaborators, problem solvers who can work independently, and those who exhibit confident interpersonal communication skills. The ability to be tactful and sensitive is a necessity as the successful applicant will be required to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with clients, agents, and industry professionals they will be working alongside.
We are interested in people who think aesthetically and are highly skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint to create external presentations and press kits for clients. A high level of all other Microsoft Office packages is also necessary. They must also demonstrate the ability to research in a timely manner and present good quality writing; creating and updating biographies for actors, directors, and copywriting where required.
The applicant will be involved in the Tapestry social media account, designing Instagram posts and stories with a creative flair, keeping it up to date, ensuring it’s on brand and dynamic, whilst growing Tapestry’s presence and audience.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to work at key events in the entertainment calendar, including award ceremonies and red-carpet premieres, covering photo shoots and press launches with the potential to travel internationally.
Hours: 9.30am - 6.00pm Monday to Friday within a central London office. Occasional evening and weekend work is required, and you may be asked to work additional hours. A TOIL system is in place to balance unusual hours with occasional working from home flexibility.
As this role may involve occasional travel, candidates should hold a valid passport and inform us of any legal restrictions that would prevent international or national business travel. Disclosures will be considered in line with relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract: Full-time/permanent, subject to 6 months’ probation period.
Starting salary:
Junior Publicist: starting from £30K per annum with an annual salary review (minimum of three year’s PR experience)
Publicist starting from £40K per annum with an annual salary review
(minimum of five year’s PR experience)
